In Australia, there are a number of regulations that govern students who are doing part-time employment. Foreign students in Australia are subject to these regulations, which control the application process and the execution of part-time occupations. On the other hand, those who register in ELICOS will not be allowed to submit an application for a Post-Study Work Permit for Australia. In the event that students are applying for participation in the Postgraduate Research Sector or are enrolled in any preparatory course, they will be permitted to work for a maximum of forty-eight hours in a fortnight  for the duration of the course that they are currently enrolled in. The students will not be granted authorization to work for an infinite number of hours until the beginning of the research semester.
